Malas, also known as prayer beads, are strings of beads used in prayer or meditation to keep track of mantras being repeated. By holding a Mala between the thumb and finger, one can easily count the number of mantras repeated, breaths taken, or repetitions on the 108 beads.
Each color represents a specific chakra within the chakra system.
Root (Red) - Earth
Sacral (Orange) - Water
Solar Plexus (Yellow) - Fire
Heart (Green) - Air
Throat (Blue) - Sound
Third Eye (Purple) - Light
Crown (White/Gold) - Thought
